The Wilderness We Call Home

A blistering of beauty

Under Summer Sun

A heart unfolding

To the Rainbow Promise

***

See it now, Love?

Waterfall, wild and free.

Trees like swingin’-low chariots

Their bosoms dropping

In green garlands to earth

***

Birds flit free

Water fills my shoes

Bare rocks neath bare feet

Now earth, now stone, now branch

The wilderness we call home.
