The beauty of the uncut gem
Is girly and soft
With doe-eyes aloft
And hair to perfection, untrimmed.
This girlhood dream
Eyes so clear
World held dear
Life webbed in by seams.
Rose petals sprinkle her path
To joyhood, To flight
Glittering spirit makes for any sprite
All that’s dark feels 3-foot wrath.
Mischievous elf-born
Born of butterfly
All trees twinkle in thine eye
Up with down, laughter adorns thee.
But oh! sweet surrender
That balancing act
No good thing lacked
Spirit, be whole.
And sweet baby dew
On tear-washed face
Eyes wide open, flying in space
Innoncent as yew.
Meek and mild
But never again mute.
Heaven close with David’s lute
Jungle deep, incessant wild.
Let us all be like child
Innocent as doves
Let us all fight wild
Renewed from above.
A. Faith.
